St Ives Town go for Inflatable Structure for Christmas Lights Event!

The inflatable structure team at Evolution Dome were chosen by St. Ives Town Council to provide a stage for their Christmas lights switch on ceremony. Evolution Dome helped to put on a range of entertainment for the event within the inflatable structure, appealing to all ages and walks of life for the town folk of St. Ives.

The St.Ives Town Christmas Lights Switch on.

The switch on took place yesterday on Sunday November 24th and with help from the award winning team at Evolution Dome team, it looks like the event will no doubt hit the news again as a hugely successful ceremony. Over the course of the event the inflatable structure was home to entertainment to be seen by thousands of locals looking to kick start festivities.

With help from the Warboys based event company Evolution Dome, the annual event promised to be a great start to the Christmas celebrations, giving opportunity to local performers, artists and dancers to show their abilities onstage for the townspeople. Performing were the excellent Pidley Male Voice Choir, Singer/Guitarist Izzy Maile, and the Boot Scooters line dancing group, all kept safe from the elements (and Santa's reindeer!) by Evolution Dome's inflatable structure.

The same inflatable structure in use at another Evolution Dome event earlier this year.

Evolution Dome launched as an inflatable structure and event solutions company in 2010 and has been providing event services to the local area ever since. The same inflatable structure will be remembered by the St Ives residents from the hugely successful annual Carnival and Music Festival, again attended by thousands of residents providing a range of entertainment for a range of ages. Alongside their impressive inflatable structure range, Evolution Dome provide power, professional sound and lighting services as well as staging.

With the company well known for involving themselves in local events this promised to be and was a Christmas event to remember, and one that St Ives folk and council can be proud of. It was certainly a great kick start to the Christmas period! Let the festivities begin!

An example of Evolution Dome's interlinking inflatable structures.

Evolution Dome are set to provide the 2013 Welsh Rally with two of their biggest inflatable structures.

On the 13th November the award winning event production team at Evolution Dome will provide this years Welsh Rally with two of their impressive inflatable structures for the 2013 Welsh Rally. The Welsh Rally takes place from the 14th - 17th November. Evolution Dome will be providing the event with two 24 meter inflatable structures, interlinking with an inflatable tunnel entrance. The popular Welsh Rally attracts thousands of visitors and this year is expected to be that little bit extra special. On show at this years Welsh Rally will be a collection of classic racing cars that have graced the event in years past. Some of the classic cars that will be on show include the Lancia 037, Ford Escort Cosworth, Audi Sport Quattro S1 and a pair of Subaru Imprezas. The event takes place at Service Park in Deeside.

Inflatable Structures and Classic Cars.

Evolution Dome's inflatable structures have been on show alongside classic cars old and new on many an occasion. Only recently one of the Cambridgeshire event company's inflatable structures was housing a very well kept secret from Nissan. Also, earlier in the year Evolution Dome worked alongside Shell at an event where two of their temporary structures housed hundreds of racing enthusiasts and a Formula One car.

Evolution Dome are no strangers to working alongside classic cars with their inflatable structures.

The Rally of Great Britain first began in 1932 and has a marvelous history of excitement surrounding it. Notably some classic moments spring to mind, such as in 1994 when Colin McRae became the first British winner for 18 years. The winning margin in this year was just 3 minutes and 23 seconds. This years Welsh Rally will be the finale of the World Rally 2013 Championships.

Evolution Dome will also be providing 80 internal LED Baton's for lighting effect inside the structures. One of the inflatable structures will be used at the event as a catering and hospitality room. The other adjoining inflatable structure will be used as an entertainment room.

Inflatable Structures - The Design of a Lifetime

For the best part of the last ten years inflatable structures have played a vivid and prominent role in the event industry. They are possibly the most widely used temporary structures for events, marketing campaigns, exhibitions and festivals. Their rise in popularity is evident at almost every event you attend. But who is behind the creation of these marvelous designs? What use are companies making from them? We delve into the world of inflatable structures as we discuss the design of a lifetime.

The Creation of Inflatable Structures.
I would imagine the following is debatable. The 'who first came up the idea' usually creates its fair share of debate. In 1959 an engineer from Louisiana called John Scurlock was experimenting with inflatable covers for tennis courts. Upon discovering that people like to walk, bounce and generally jump around on his inflatable cover, John began delving deeper into inflatables. He would eventually become the pioneer of early inflatable domes. The initial link to our modern inflatable structures comes from what we know as a 'Bouncy Castle'.  John Scurlock's early findings would lead to generations of his family experimenting with inflatable structures and creating the first 'Space Walk' inflatable from which their company name came from. Fast forward a few years and inflatable structures were being designed with pressurized air cavity walls. Inflatable structures could now be used as a temporary structure for all kinds of events.

Inflatable Structures for your events.
Businesses are now using a whole range of inflatable structures of all different shapes and sizes for all kinds of events such as temporary marketing campaigns, exhibitions and any other events where a temporary room is required. Inflatable structures are ideal for hospitality and with big business being all about hospitality these days, the rush is on to hire a temporary structure that not only inflates in minutes, but delivers a stunning atmosphere in which to impress customers. And there we have it! Brief but you wouldn't want me to go on all day about inflatable structures would you? They inflate in minutes. You can put them almost anywhere. They look amazing. You can hire them from event companies such as Evolution Dome. They will impress your customers beyond their expectations. They are a solution to an old age problem, commonly known as, 'space'. It's no wonder I named them 'A Design of a Lifetime'. What kind of temporary venue are you going to choose for your next event?
